Bragging On God
By David J. Stewart
Carefully notice in the Lord's prayer that the very first thing Jesus mentioned is praising and worshipping God for how great, awesome, and precious He is... HALLOWED BE THY NAME! ... “I think I see more hair growing on your head Lord.” ... “I think you're losing some weight there God.”
I'm being silly of course, and yet, this is EXACTLY what it means to worship God! “That's a beautiful moon you made Lord. You are so awesome and powerful.” “Wow, you sure made a pretty sunset.” God created mankind in His own image. Just as we like to be praised for our works, so does God. God created the universe and then rested, looking upon His work and saw that it was good. God loves to be bragged on!
God loves when we take a stand for Him in a crowd, telling everyone how awesome the God of the Bible is. God is pleased when we contend for the faith and make a big deal over truth. God is not pleased by all the sycophantic, phony, worship in modern churches that use corrupt homosexual Bibles like the New International Version (NIV).
God put the color in flowers, and the amazing qualities in animals, and He stretcheth forth the stars of the universe... all to shew forth His eternal power and Godhead (Romans 1:20); so that men might worship Him, for He alone is worthy!
“And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.” —Matthew 10:38-39
