No Man Cared for My Soul

Psalms 142:4, “I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.”

Psalms 142:4, “I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.”       King David was experiencing the darkest hours of his life. He had lost his kingdom, his family turned against him, his friends abandoned him and in his disappointment David realized—NO MAN CARED FOR MY SOUL.

There will be times of disappointment in our life, when our loved ones are far from us, and everything is going wrong, and we are lonely, and tired, and our health fails us, and we are scared, and our future looks grim, and worst of all... NO ONE SEEMS TO CARE. That is the most painful part.

Thankfully, Matthew 28:20 tells us that Jesus Christ will always be with us if we are saved, “...and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Hebrews 13:5 tells us, “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Family and friends may forsake us, but Jesus has promised NEVER to leave nor forsake us. Amen!

We are living in selfish times, when people think mostly about themselves. While Americans are spending money for kitty-litter made from fresh corn, children in Haiti are literally eating mud to survive. No man careth for their souls.
