Romans 15:11, “Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.”
Amen and Amen! Praise the name of Jesus Christ!!! In this sin-cursed world in which we live, the wicked are honored and sin is glorified. The most vile of sinners are heralded as saints and God's children are looked down upon as bigots and hatemongers for preaching against sin. Woe unto the wicked!
PRAISE HIM! It is God Who gives life to the world around us. Acts 17:24, 25, "God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things." God does not need anything materialistic from us, but He asks for our sincere worship and praise, which is ours alone to give or deny. Daniel 5:23, "...the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified." Oh, the sin of failing to glorify God in our lives. PRAISE HIM you who are weary! PRAISE HIM you who have been disappointed! PRAISE HIM you who are weak! PRAISE HIM you who are tired and lonely! PRAISE HIM! PRAISE HIM! PRAISE HIM, for He alone is worthy! Jesus Christ is worthy!
PRAISE HIM you who are successful and enjoy of the good of this life. PRAISE HIM you who are unemployed and struggling to make ends meet. PRAISE HIM you who are emotionally stable and things in your life are going well. PRAISE HIM you who are suffering in emotional duress from tribulation and tragedy in your personal life. PRAISE HIM!!! PRAISE HIM when there's food on the table. PRAISE HIM when the cupboard is empty. PRAISE HIM when your health is good. PRAISE HIM when your health is failing and the doctors cannot help you. PRAISE HIM when your financially comfortable. PRAISE HIM when you're broke. PRAISE HIM! PRAISE HIM! PRAISE HIM!
Anyone can praise God when things are going well and there's food on the table and there's peace in your relationships. However, it requires a greater degree of faith to PRAISE HIM when things are going wrong and there's no money left at the end of the month and there's turmoil in your relationships. Unshakable faith comes from having one's faith shaken! Every believer's faith must be tested. The test of your faith is what it will take to cause you to stop PRAISING HIM! Will you PRAISE HIM when your parents disown you? Will you PRAISE HIM when your spouse divorces you? Will you PRAISE HIM when your children abandon you? Will you PRAISE HIM when your friends desert you? Will you PRAISE HIM when your health fails you and pain is your constant companion? Will you PRAISE HIM when people lie about you, slander you and do all manner of evil against you? Will you PRAISE HIM when you lose your home and the equity in your home? Will you PRAISE HIM when you're facing the darkest hours of your life? Will you still PRAISE HIM then? I will PRAISE HIM, Jesus my blessed Redeemer!!!
